Download Pokémon Survivor Burst

Pokémon Survivor Burst is a free fangame by ClessioTV, hosted on Eevee Expo rather than a storefront. There is no Steam page, no Roblox experience, and no in-game promo code screen. You download a ZIP, extract it, and run a Pokémon Essentials 21.1 / mkxp-z build. The public version at the time of writing is 4.5, released after the August 23, 2026 launch. This page covers which file to grab, how to update without wiping your name, and what to do when antivirus or a Mac archive misbehaves.

If you already have a working folder from an older patch, skip the “fresh install” instinct. The developer’s macOS/Linux warning is the most important sentence on this page: do not delete the previous installation. Extract the new ZIP and overwrite files in place. Keep the existing Data folder or you can lose access to the player name tied to the online leaderboard. Windows players should treat that the same way whenever they patch.

The Windows filename still says “Survivors” in the ZIP title. That is the official file, not a clone. The macOS and mobile builds share one folder because they are alternative packages, not a second game. Bug reports belong on the Discord, not in random reupload comments.

Ignore mirrors that add “installer,” “codes,” or “online lobby” extras. Survivor Burst is a single-player bullet heaven with an after-run leaderboard. A ZIP that ships extra launchers is not the official build.

Windows install

On Windows, download the ZIP, extract it with the built-in extractor or 7-Zip, and keep the whole folder together. Essentials games expect Game.exe (or the mkxp-z equivalent) to sit next to Data, Audio, Graphics, and the other project folders. Moving only the executable breaks assets. Create a shortcut to the exe if you want a desktop icon; do not copy the exe somewhere else.

First launch should reach the title screen. From there, set a player name when the game asks, pick a language (English, German, French, Spanish, or Portuguese), and open the Pokémon select screen. If the window is huge or tiny, check the in-game Options menu added in version 2.5; it exists to manage resource usage on different hardware. Details live on the controls guide.

SmartScreen or an antivirus package may flag an unsigned RPG Maker / mkxp-z binary downloaded from MediaFire. That can be a false positive. Do not download a “cleaned” exe from a stranger to dodge the warning. Keep the official ZIP, scan it locally if you want a second opinion, and only run the file you extracted yourself. If Windows hid the download, check the browser’s Downloads folder before you assume MediaFire failed.

macOS, Linux, and the overwrite rule

The supported download list is Windows, macOS, and mobile. ClessioTV’s patch notes still speak to macOS/Linux players who keep a local folder: do not delete the old install, extract the new ZIP, and overwrite files. The Data folder stores identity data such as your player name. Wiping it is how people lose leaderboard continuity even when their unlocks look intact.

A Retro Dodo write-up noted that a Mac ZIP they tried contained a Windows .exe, so the archive was not a one-click macOS app. Treat that as a known player complaint, not a reason to hunt unofficial “fixed Mac” packs. Use the alternative MediaFire folder, read the current thread post for that platform, and ask on Discord if the archive layout does not match a Mac-runnable mkxp-z build. Compatibility layers exist; this wiki will not invent a specific wrapper as the official method.

When a patch lands, overwrite in place. Compatibility patch 3.0 existed specifically to keep player-name saves ready for later versions. If a notes post tells you to redownload 3.0 or update a launcher, do that before you assume 4.5 is “broken.” Version history is on the patch notes page.

Mobile caveats

Mobile is listed next to Windows and macOS, and the official post is blunt: the mobile version has not been fully tested. Compatibility is not guaranteed. You may see performance issues, bugs, or a build that does not run correctly on your device. That is not a hidden “mobile edition” with extra modes. It is the same fangame with weaker QA.

If you try mobile anyway, grab the file from the alternative folder, expect to use on-screen or mapped controls rather than a full keyboard, and drop quality in Options if the frame rate collapses. The controls guide covers what the desktop UI labels actually do so you can map them. Do not expect every leaderboard shortcut (Sort on D, Filter on W, Back on C) to exist as physical keys on a phone.

After it launches

Once the title screen is up, you are done with the download problem. Play Classic first. A clear on a given Pokémon unlocks Rush for that Pokémon; a Rush clear unlocks Tower for that Pokémon. Endless arrived in 4.5 with its own shop and currency. Mode rules are in the game modes guide. For the first hour of combat, follow the getting started walkthrough and pick a starter you actually understand, such as Mudkip, who currently dominates many Classic boards with Water Pulse, Damp Recovery, 112 HP, and 2.32 Speed.

Keep the ZIP until you have finished a run and confirmed that the leaderboard screen still shows your name. Then you can delete the archive to save disk space. Keep the game folder. That folder is your install. Updating means overwriting it, not replacing it with a second copy that has an empty Data directory.

If the game boots but feels incomplete, confirm you are on 4.5: Endless should exist, regional forms should be in, and the mode select should be available from the start of the game. Older 2.x folders will not magically grow those systems. Check the updates hub before you reinstall from scratch.

If the download fails

MediaFire can throttle, wait-gate, or serve a browser warning. Use a normal browser download, disable aggressive download “accelerators,” and try again later rather than grabbing a third-party mirror. If a ZIP extracts to an empty folder, the download was truncated; delete it and fetch it again. If Windows Defender quarantines Game.exe, restore that one file from the official extract instead of the whole drive exclusion list.

You do not need a new account, a key, or a code. Progress comes from runs, unlock challenges, and Kecleon permanent upgrades. When the binary runs, leave this page and start playing.
