Pokémon Survivor Burst Patch Notes
Official changelog from v2.0 through Endless Mode, in the order ClessioTV posted it.
This page walks the official Pokémon Survivor Burst changelog in posting order. Source posts live on the Eevee Expo thread. The project card still says Completed v4.0 with an ETA of 1 September 2026; the ZIP you should be running is 4.5. If a line below disagrees with your HUD, check the version on the title screen before you assume a wiki page is wrong.
These notes are not a strategy guide. When a bullet names a system, jump to the page that actually teaches it: game modes for Rush / Tower / Endless, Burst for ultimates, evolutions for Kecleon and regional forms, and the unlock checklist for the practical order of operations.
Version 2.0 — the modern loop
v2.0 is the patch that turns a prototype survival loop into the game people still mean when they say Burst.
It added eight new unlockable Pokémon and brought in Generations 1–3 coverage, with the thread’s usual caveat about special cases. It added the online leaderboard and player naming, which is why later patches obsess over Data folders and result submission. It added Rush Mode, new abilities and bonuses, and the Bonus Reroll and Ban systems that let you steer a level-up instead of swallowing whatever the pool spit out.
Presentation jumped with it: new music, maps, and attack animations. Progression gained achievements per Pokémon and the Star Piece system. Combat gained new projectile mechanics, a Form System for certain Pokémon, and gameplay boundaries so you could not kite forever off the edge of the field. Burst was reworked for some Pokémon, several abilities were rebalanced, required helpers were added, and the client got a performance pass.
If you are learning the game on 4.5, you still live inside this skeleton. Naming, Rush, rerolls, forms, and the first leaderboard all start here. Known unresolved bugs on the post: none.
Version 2.5 — Options, three more unlocks, Sableye
v2.5 added three new unlockable Pokémon and an in-game Options menu aimed at resource use on the device in front of you. That menu is the first thing to open if mobile or a low-end Windows box stutters; the thread is explicit that the mobile build was never fully tested.
Ability mechanics expanded. The Sableye unlock was fixed, which is a reminder that challenge text can be wrong even when the Pokémon exists in the files. Several sprites and visual issues were cleaned up. Rush and Classic both improved. Result submission was optimized, rendering improved, and the usual performance pass landed. Known unresolved bugs: none.
Version 2.6 — ability bugfixes
v2.6 is a short, important post: several abilities that were not functioning correctly got fixed. If an older clip shows a move doing nothing, do not copy that clip into a best builds argument until you have reproduced it on 4.5.
Leaderboard outage, then restore
Between the 2.6 post and the 3.0 feature drop, ClessioTV announced that the in-game leaderboard was back after downtime. Thank-you post, no feature list. If you are reading an archived comment that says the board is dead, treat it as a timestamp, not a current status. For how to use the board after it returned, see the leaderboard tool.
Version 3.0 — Kecleon, Tower, top 100
v3.0 is the largest systems patch in the thread.
It added new temporary bonuses, the Kecleon Shop System for permanent upgrades, and permanent bonuses. The leaderboard gained score and level sorting, Pokémon filtering, personal-run sorting, and a top 100 display. Tower Mode arrived with exclusive temporary bonuses and an extra Fragment for a clear. Run-objective pop-ups started telling you what the run actually wanted. Classic and Rush both improved again.
Fairness and presentation: the 15-minute Rush encounter lost MissingNo, bosses were rebalanced, Jumpluff’s sprite was fixed, enemy Ice-type projectile animation was fixed, and Dratini’s unlock was reworked. The UI and HUD were redesigned, translations updated, and performance improved.
The post also carries an install warning aimed at macOS and Linux players: do not delete the previous install, extract and overwrite, and keep the Data folder or you can lose the in-game player name. That name is what the board shows. If you “updated” by wiping the folder, you did not update—you made a new trainer.
Known unresolved bugs on the feature post: none.
Version 3.0 compatibility patch — redownload for names
A second 3.0 post is easy to skip and expensive to skip. ClessioTV shipped a compatibility patch so player-name saves would survive future clients. The instruction is blunt: redownload Version 3.0 or update the launcher. Gameplay content did not change. Name compatibility did. Anyone who stayed on the first 3.0 ZIP and then jumped to 4.x is the person who later asks why the web leaderboard does not recognize them.
Version 4.0 — Generation 4 and Tower access
v4.0 added Pokémon from Generation 4, new unlockable Pokémon, and new Challenge Pokémon. New temporary bonuses landed. Tower difficulty was completely reworked, and so were the requirements to access Tower Mode. Graphics, UI, and HUD were redesigned again.
This is the patch that makes older “just beat Rush and Tower is open” advice incomplete. Access is still chained per Pokémon—Classic unlocks Rush for that Pokémon, Rush unlocks Tower—but 4.0 changed the difficulty and the gate. Read it with the game modes guide and the unlock challenges page, not with a v3 clip.
Known unresolved bugs: none.
Version 4.5 — Endless, regional forms, mode menu
v4.5 is the current public build.
It added Endless Mode, a shop exclusive to Endless, and a currency exclusive to Endless. Mode-unlock explanations were made clearer, which is the thread’s way of admitting players could not tell why Rush or Tower stayed grey. Regional forms arrived for currently available Pokémon where they apply. Specific evolution flags were called out: Kirlia → Gallade, Quilava → Hisuian Typhlosion, and Pikachu → Alolan Raichu, each under specific requirements. Active abilities were reworked. Collectible-item icons were reworked. The game mode selection menu was rebuilt and is now available from the start of the game.
Known unresolved bugs: none.
If you are writing a loadout after 4.5, assume active abilities and regional branches can invalidate a v4.0 clip. Check the evolutions guide before you lock a starter into a build you copied from last week.
How to use this list in a real week
You do not need to reread every bullet after every Discord ping. Confirm you are on 4.5, then ask which bucket moved: mode, economy, roster, or client. Mode changes send you to game modes. Economy changes send you to Kecleon. Roster changes send you to players. Client changes send you to Options. Anything about scores sends you to the leaderboard tool.
The Updates Hub is the short map. This page is the long one. The roadmap is the only place on the wiki that talks about Generation polls without pretending a date exists. Official programming credits for the patches above are ClessioTV, Codex, and Luka S.J.
If a friend is still on the first 3.0 ZIP, the compatibility redownload is the note to send them—not a 4.5 feature list they cannot store a name against.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is version 4.5 actually out if the thread still says 4.0?
Yes. The project card lags. ClessioTV posted a 4.5 changelog with Endless Mode, regional forms, and the start-of-game mode menu. Trust the ZIP version, then use the Updates Hub as the short map.
Which patch added Kecleon’s shop and Tower Mode?
Both landed in v3.0, along with permanent bonuses, leaderboard filters, and an extra Fragment for a Tower clear. Shop details are in the evolutions guide; mode gates are in the game modes guide.
When did Endless Mode arrive?
Version 4.5. It comes with an exclusive shop and exclusive currency. It is not a rebrand of Rush or Tower.
Why does the thread tell me to redownload 3.0?
A compatibility patch prepared player-name saves for later clients. Gameplay did not change. If you skipped it, later versions can fail to keep the name the leaderboard displays.
Did the leaderboard stay down?
No. It was temporarily unavailable after v2.6 and ClessioTV posted that it was restored. You can also check rankings on the [web board](https://drchips.fr/leaderboard-SB/) without launching the game.
Where do Gallade, Hisuian Typhlosion, and Alolan Raichu come from?
Version 4.5 called those three regional or split evolutions out by name, each under specific requirements. Track flags on the unlock checklist and confirm live text on Discord.
