Pokémon Survivor Burst How to Play Endless Mode

Version 4.5's long shop: exclusive currency, a separate catalog, and why this is not the first-hour classroom.

Last updated:

Endless Mode

Pokémon Survivor Burst added Endless Mode in version 4.5, the current public ZIP as of late August 2026. It is the long-session ruleset: the same auto-attacks, Burst, and mid-run evolutions as the rest of ClessioTV’s single-player fangame, plus a shop exclusive to Endless and a currency exclusive to Endless. Those two wallets are the whole published Endless economy. They are not Kecleon fragments, they are not Star Pieces, and they are not a shortcut around the Classic → Rush → Tower chain.

This page is the how-to. The four-mode map still lives on game modes. Read that first if you do not yet know why Rush is grey on a Pokémon you just unlocked. Come back here when you actually intend to sit in Endless instead of treating the last name on the 4.5 selector as practice mode.

How to play Endless

Install 4.5. Endless does not exist on 4.0. Confirm the number on the title screen, then open the mode selector. Version 4.5 reworked the game mode selection menu and made that list visible from the start of the game. Visibility is not permission. Unlocks still apply. Classic still unlocks Rush for that Pokémon. Rush still unlocks Tower for that Pokémon. If the selector keeps Endless closed, believe the in-game explanation rather than a forum post that assumed account-wide medals.

Pick a Pokémon whose kit you can already finish. Endless is a scaling laboratory, not a first contact. The getting started route still wants Classic. The published starter card for Mudkip — Water Pulse, Damp Recovery, HP 112, Speed 2.32 — is a readable engine if you want a known auto-attack while you learn the Endless shop. It is not a rule that Endless “is Mudkip’s mode.” Filter the leaderboard to the species you actually queued.

Once the run starts, play it like a long Classic with a second cash register. Move, let attacks fire, pick level-up bonuses, spend Burst on shape problems, evolve if the run allows. When the exclusive shop appears, spend Endless currency there. Do not pause the run to open Kecleon; Kecleon is the between-run permanent tree. If you cannot find an Endless item, you are in the wrong shop, not missing a hidden key.

Do not invent a minute mark where Endless “ends.” The published notes name the mode, the shop, and the currency. They do not publish a price list. This wiki will not fabricate one.

Exclusive shop and exclusive currency

Version 4.5’s changelog is blunt:

  • Endless Mode itself
  • a specialized shop exclusive to Endless
  • a new currency exclusive to Endless

Three wallets exist in a 4.5 save, and mixing them is how players think the game deleted an upgrade.

Kecleon (version 3.0) sells permanent upgrades on a Shop Core tree paid with fragments. Complete standard upgrades to unlock more of that tree. Tower grants an additional Fragment on completion. Core, Next Buy, Hide Details, and Close live on evolutions and Kecleon. That tree is supposed to still matter tomorrow. Endless purchases are supposed to matter this session.

Endless currency stocks the Endless shop. It does not complete Shop Core. Fragments do not stock Endless-only goods. Temporary bonuses from 3.0 and 4.0, including Tower-exclusive ones, stay in-run and stay out of both shops.

Spend order without fake prices:

  • If you still die before you understand Burst, leave Endless. Play Classic.
  • If Shop Core is gated on standard upgrades you have not finished, more Endless sessions will not skip that gate.
  • If you are already inside Endless and the exclusive catalog is the point, spend the exclusive currency there and nowhere else.
  • If a node you want is a Kecleon node, finish the run, then shop between runs.

The official thread is the Eevee Expo post. Patch bullets that named this economy are collected on patch notes.

Why Endless is not a tutorial

New players see four names on the 4.5 selector and click the last one because “endless” sounds like extra practice. It is the opposite job.

Classic is the classroom. You learn what Water Pulse actually covers, when Damp Recovery is paying you, and when Burst is worth holding. Rush is the timed exam — a published 15-minute slice that version 3.0 had to clean by removing MissingNo. Tower is the fragment climb with exclusive temporary bonuses and a 4.0 difficulty rework. Endless is the long shop after those exams make sense.

Endless is a poor unlock farm. Roster slots come from in-run challenges, usually easier to respect in Classic where objective pop-ups are not competing with an exclusive catalog. Endless is a poor first contact with a new species: mode medals do not inherit. A Mudkip Endless personal best does not open Rush on Pikachu, and it does not teach you a regional fork you have never seen.

If your file is new, follow starter Pokémon through Classic, then read game modes for the per-Pokémon chain. Queue Endless when you can already fire Burst on purpose and you are curious how the exclusive shop changes the late curve.

How Endless sits next to Classic, Rush, and Tower

Think in resources, not in prestige.

  • Classic pays understanding, challenge pop-ups, and the Rush key for that Pokémon.
  • Rush pays a timed board lane and the Tower key for that Pokémon.
  • Tower pays an extra fragment, Tower-only temporary bonuses, and a climb that 4.0 reworked on purpose.
  • Endless pays Endless currency and Endless-shop scaling. It does not replace the other three.

The in-game leaderboard and the web board at drchips.fr already have an Endless column (the French tab still says Classique for Classic). Scores are per mode and per Pokémon. An Endless number is not a Classic number with extra zeros. Set Mode, Filter the species, then screenshot.

New Pokémon still start at Classic even if you personally have Endless on someone else. Version 4.0’s Generation 4 unlocks and 4.5’s regional forms do not inherit your Mudkip medals. The 4.5 selector being on the front of the game does not flatten those ladders into one account stamp.

A session that does not waste the exclusive wallet

  1. Confirm 4.5. Overwrite in place so Data (and the name on the board) survives.
  2. Take a Pokémon you have already cleared Classic with. Mudkip is legal and readable; it is not mandatory.
  3. Read the selector. If Endless is closed, the unlock still applies — do not treat the front-of-game list as a free pass.
  4. Play until the exclusive shop is the interesting part of the run, not until you panic-spend fragments that belong to Kecleon.
  5. After you die or quit, spend fragments at Kecleon if Shop Core still has standard upgrades to finish. Spend Endless currency only if you were actually in Endless.
  6. Post the score with the filter named: Endless, this Pokémon, sort score or level.

If the exclusive catalog still looks empty, you are probably in Kecleon or in a pre-4.5 ZIP. If the selector text disagrees with this page, believe the selector and check patch notes. The Discord invite is the live desk for “is this shop bugged” questions this wiki will not invent a SKU list to answer.

Play Endless to scale a kit you already understand. Play Classic to learn the kit. Keep the shops in different rooms of your head, and only then argue about the number on the board.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

When did Endless Mode arrive?

Version 4.5. The patch added the mode, a shop exclusive to Endless, and a currency exclusive to Endless. Install notes and older ZIPs are on the patch notes page.

I can see Endless on the mode list. Is it unlocked?

Not automatically. Version 4.5 shows the selector from the start of the game, but unlocks still apply. Classic still opens Rush for that Pokémon, and Rush still opens Tower for that Pokémon. Read the in-game text; the four-mode map is on game modes.

Is the Endless shop the same as Kecleon?

No. Kecleon sells permanent Shop Core upgrades for fragments. Endless has its own shop and its own currency. Mixing those wallets is covered on evolutions.

Should I play Endless to learn the game?

No. Endless is a poor tutorial and a poor unlock farm. Start Classic with a starter using the getting started route, then come back when you already understand Burst.

Does an Endless run unlock Rush or Tower?

No. Mode medals are per Pokémon and follow Classic → Rush → Tower. Endless does not replace that chain and does not gift medals to a different species.

Where do Endless scores go?

To the Endless column on the in-game board and on the [web leaderboard](https://drchips.fr/leaderboard-SB/). Filter the Pokémon, then compare using the leaderboard tool. An Endless personal best is not a Classic score with extra zeros.
