Updates Hub

Pokémon Survivor Burst updates faster than its project card. The official Eevee Expo thread still labels the game Completed at version 4.0 with an ETA of 1 September 2026, yet the public ZIP is already version 4.5. This hub exists so you do not treat that header as the live client. The number in your title screen is the one that matters when a guide, a tier list take, or a Discord screenshot disagrees with what you just launched.

Use the version-by-version patch notes when you want the official changelog in reading order. Use the roadmap and the community polls page when you care about Gen 5/6 votes, planned Pokémon, and how ClessioTV talks about content that is still on the table. Neither page replaces the thread; they turn a stack of posts into a map you can actually play from.

The game is a free single-player fangame by ClessioTV, released 23 August 2026, for Windows, macOS, and mobile. It is built with Pokémon Essentials 21.1. Runs are one trainer and one Pokémon against a swarm. An online leaderboard compares scores. That combination—solo run, shared ranking—is why patches keep touching naming, result submission, and board filters instead of adding a second player.

How to read a Burst patch

Not every bullet in a changelog should change your next hour. Sort each note into one of four buckets.

Client feel. Options menus, HUD redesigns, translation passes, rendering, and resource sliders. These matter if you play on a weak laptop or a phone that was never fully tested. They do not change which bonus you pick at level four.

Modes. Rush in v2.0, Tower in v3.0, Endless in v4.5, plus the v4.5 mode-select menu that is available from the start. Mode notes change what you are allowed to queue and which Pokémon has cleared which gate. The game modes guide is the decoder for those lines.

Economy. Star Pieces and achievements in v2.0, fragments and the Kecleon shop in v3.0, Endless-only currency and shop in v4.5. Economy notes change what you keep between runs. If a patch mentions permanent upgrades, read it next to the evolutions and shop guide.

Roster. New unlocks, Challenge Pokémon, Generation 4 arrivals, regional forms, and the Gallade / Hisuian Typhlosion / Alolan Raichu flags. Roster notes change who you bring, not how the timer works. Cross-check them with the starter overview and the unlock challenges page instead of treating the changelog as a Pokédex.

The version spine

If you skipped several ZIPs, you only need the spine.

v2.0 is the modern loop: eight new Pokémon, Generations 1–3 coverage, online leaderboard, player naming, Rush Mode, Bonus Reroll and Ban, Star Pieces, projectile rules, a Form System, gameplay boundaries, and a Burst rework. If Burst feels different from an old clip, start in the Burst guide, not in a random v4 HUD screenshot.

v2.5–v2.6 are quality and fairness: three more Pokémon, an Options menu for resource use, a Sableye unlock fix, Rush and Classic improvements, result submission work, then a small ability-bug pass. The leaderboard also went down and came back; if an old post says the board is dead, that post is stale.

v3.0 is the meta layer: temporary bonuses, the Kecleon shop, permanent bonuses, Tower Mode with exclusive temps and an extra Fragment, run-objective pop-ups, top-100 board, Pokémon filters, and a full UI/HUD redesign. macOS and Linux players were told to overwrite files and keep the Data folder so the player name survived. A follow-up compatibility patch asked everyone to redownload 3.0 for name-save compatibility with later clients.

v4.0 is Generation 4, new unlockable and Challenge Pokémon, new temporary bonuses, and a full Tower difficulty plus access rework. v4.5 is Endless Mode with its own shop and currency, clearer mode-unlock text, regional forms, reworked active abilities, collectible-item icons, and the start-of-game mode menu.

That spine is enough to place any Discord screenshot. A Kecleon tree means you are at least on 3.0. A Tower access wall that feels new is 4.0. An Endless shop or a Hisuian Typhlosion prompt is 4.5.

Where official text lives

Changelogs are posted by ClessioTV on the Eevee Expo thread. Hotfixes, challenge wording, and “is the board up?” questions move faster in the official Discord. Programming credits on the thread list ClessioTV, Codex, and Luka S.J. This wiki does not invent patch dates beyond that 1 September 2026 ETA, and it does not pretend the ETA is still in the future: 4.5 already shipped.

When a note is one line—“reworked Dratini unlock,” “removed MissingNo from 15-minute Rush,” “Kirlia can become Gallade under specific requirements”—treat Discord as the live text and the unlock checklist as the workflow. Do not wait for this hub to reprint every challenge sentence. Those sentences change; the mode chain does not: Classic clears unlock Rush for that Pokémon, Rush clears unlock Tower, and Endless is the 4.5 addition with its own purse.

If you are installing for the first time, skip the archaeology. Follow the download guide, learn the loop in getting started, then come back here only when a friend is on a different version than you are.

Keep this hub bookmarked instead of a screenshot of one changelog post. The project card can sit on 4.0 for a long time. Your ZIP version is the number you should quote when you compare a best builds write-up, a leaderboard filter, or a Burst clip against the client you actually launched tonight.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What version should I play right now?

The public build is 4.5. The Eevee Expo header still shows Completed v4.0 with an ETA of 1 September 2026, but Endless Mode and regional forms are already in the wild. Check the number on your title screen, then skim the patch notes.

Where are official changelogs posted?

ClessioTV posts them on the [Eevee Expo thread](https://eeveeexpo.com/threads/9705/). Discord is faster for hotfixes and challenge wording. This hub is the reading order, not a second official channel.

Do I need every old patch if I just downloaded the game?

No. Install the current ZIP from the download guide. The older notes matter when a guide assumes Kecleon (v3.0), a Tower gate (v4.0), or Endless (v4.5).

Why did my player name vanish after an update?

Version 3.0 told macOS and Linux players to overwrite files and keep the Data folder. A compatibility patch then asked everyone to redownload 3.0 so names would survive later clients. Restore Data before you assume the leaderboard failed.

Is more content still planned after 4.5?

Yes. The thread still lists new Pokémon, attacks, types, mechanics, and synergies. The Generation 5 poll is closed; the Generation 6 poll is open. Details live on the roadmap.
